Today I would like to write about the wonderful Mauka Honey. I had not heard about Manuka Honey until last year when I was talking to my son in the UK. I was telling him about my cat who had a large scab on the side of her face. She originally developed the scab a couple of years before, I think when she had fleas and scratched her face. Over the years I tried many creams and natural substances in an attempt to heal the scab. We had also taken her to the vet who gave her an injection to prevent her scratching and antibiotics. None of the treatments worked despite her wearing a collar. Poor Tabby's face looked such a mess and whenever the scab became dry she would scratch it which resulted in an open wound. My son told me to try Manuka Honey which is apparently used for burns.
My son bought me a jar of 15 plus strength honey and when I returned to Spain I put the honey on Tabby's face. After three days I was very surprised to see that the scab had reduced in size and that she was no longer scratching. After three weeks the scab was completely healed and her hair was beginning to grow back.
Manuka Honey is a miracle natural substance that is not only good for burns and abrasions but can be used for sore throats, mouth ulcers and coughs.
