Lots of goodies

Yesterday we had our first delivery from Wikaniko

which for those that don't know is a company we are distributors for. Wikaniko is an on line company that sells eco friendly products.
Here are some of the items that we ordered. We ordered 5 degradable leaf sacks

these are really super and a great way to dispose of leaves. At the moment we have a huge pile  of leaves and today I shall be out in the garden filling my bags. The brilliant thing about these bags is that the loosely woven bags can hold thousand of fallen leaves. Once the bag is full it can be left in a corner of the garden and it and the leaves will degrade leaving a lovely pile of rich compost.

The next item we bought was this very handy foot print bag
This bag is such a brilliant design. Once open the bag has pouches inside that hold reusable shopping bags. The bags are made from tough lightweight polyester which are the size of plastic carrier bags. The bag itself  has a handle that enables it to be hung from your shopping trolley plus it has a coin that can be used for the trolley

I am so pleased that we bought this because I have been really conscious about the number of plastic carrier bags that we use and how to dispose of them.
The other items we bought are seeds both herbs and vegetables. The weather here in Spain has been really warm and seeds are sprouting daily. Later this week I will get busy planting.

I also bought white soap base, lavender oil and lavender flowers to make myself soap.

I have made soap before and it is not only really good value but I know what it contains. Previously when I made lavender soap the lavender flowers were lovely but they did resemble mouse droppings. I have been advised that to ensure that the lavender flowers maintain their colour is to let the soap mixture cool before adding the flowers.

There is no doubt that I am going to be busy in the next week or so but I'm really looking forward to using these items knowing that they are eco friendly.
